This beautiful hand-built pot has hummingbirds painted on the top and traditional Hopi patterns in a band. Dorothy Ami is a wonderul potter and this particular pot shows the "blush" that happens with hand-fired pottery. This reddish area is caused by the temperature rising on one side of the fire and making the clay a little more red.
