Antique Native American Hopi Carved Black Ogre (Nataska) Katsina Doll
The Black Ogre (Nataska) was carved in the 1970s by Arthur Holmes Sr. It has feathers that dangle off horns and a feather headdress. He wears a fur ruff at neck, a leather bandolier with shells and a hide wrap. He wears leather fringed moccasins, a turtle shell rattle (carved from cottonwood root) is attached below his right knee and a yarn tie below his left knee.
