Native American Hopi Fire Boy or Firewalker Katsina Doll by David Jensen
Firewalker originated in Zuni Pueblo, the Zuni people have a long "fraternity with fire." This blackened Hopi figure Firewalker (Kokoshori) is the younger brother of the Hemis Katsina. He represents the germinating spirit of corn and the colored spots represent all the different kinds of corn (yellow, blue, red and white). David Jensen did a wonderful job creating this doll including the detail of the hollow log where the rabbit surely came out. Click on numbered boxes below image for additional views.
