Antique Native American Hopi Carved Buffalo Dancer Katsina Doll by Cliff Lomahaftewa
Like most animal Katsinam, the Buffalo (Mosairu) dances to increase his kind. This Katsina is very well-known and is the most powerful. He can kill any evil thoughts and is a great spiritual protector. This particular katsina was carved by Cliff Lomahaftewa in the late 1970s. This White Buffalo Dancer has a wonderful fur headdress and the shell necklace and shells on the bandoliers are great details on this wonderful older piece.
