Native American Hopi Carved Hano Mana Katsina Doll by Sankey George Jr.
The Hano Mana, just like the Grandmother (Hahay-i wu-uti), is a favorite for the first or second gift to the girls by the men of their villages. Hano Mana appears in the Bean Dance on Second Mesa and in the Water Serpent Ceremony on First Mesa. This fabulous Hano Mana holds is draped in a Manta, her necklace is very detailed, and at her feet sit a clump of cattails and yellow flowers.
