This Six Directions by Zuni artist Jayne Quam shows the classic six animals carved in the colors of the six directions (mole, wolf, bear, eagle, badger, mountain lion). Mole (black) is guardian of the lower regions. Wolf (white) is guardian of the east. Eagle (grey) is guardian of the upper region. Badger (blue) is guardian of the south.
