Old Style Hopi Carved Warrior Traditional Policeman Katsina Doll by Larsen Harris
This Warrior (Ewiro) is an old style Third Mesa Katsina. He appears during Pachavu and later in Plaza Dances where he makes war on the clowns. He functions as a policeman and oversees the cleaning of the springs. Larsen Harris did a wonderful job on this Ewiro. It is unusual to see an Old Style Katsina actually stand on its own.
