Native American Made Winter Medicine Shirt With Buffalo Hide and Red Fox Trim
This beautiful piece is an example of a Winter Shirt. Created from Buffalo Hide with Red Fox trim this piece would keep the wearer warm and safe. The Thunder Bear handbeaded piece was created with Turquoise stones which honor the heart of Mother Earth; the four black circles represent the Four Directions; the fifth circle with the red center is the Center of Creation. The Buffalo hide is for protection from the cold, and abundance to come. The Fox Fur reminds us of the importance of family; Horsehair is for strength; Ermine tails show status and wealth; the Seven ties at the bottom of the shirt represent the Star Nations and the Seven Directions which are very significant to the Cherokee People.
