Native American Navajo Handbuilt and Handpainted Bowl with Corn and Day Chanters by Ida Sahmie

This bowl was handbuilt by Navajo Master potter Ida Sahmie. This beautiful pot is painted with the Navajo Day Chanters and it has a stalk of corn painted on the inside through a Spirit Hole. Ida is known for painting the chanters, this extra piece of her painting a corn stock in a side-opening for this small bowl is a wonderful design. Beautiful Navajo handmade pottery. We are grateful to have this Navajo handbuilt pottery. Click on numbered boxes below image for additional views.
