Native Chilean Made Rainsticks

Availability: In stock

These wonderful rainsticks are made in Chile from cactus. The cacti, which are hollow, are dried in the sun. The spines are removed, then driven into the cactus like nails. Pebbles or other small objects are placed inside the rainstick and the ends are sealed. A sound like falling rain is made when the rainstick is turned end to end. These rainsticks are used to bring rain, a much needed commodity in the southwestern desert of the United States. Yarn trim will vary.
