Native American Cherokee Made Painted Buffalo Drum with Turtle

This wonderful buffalo hide drum was handcrafted in with a 2.5" wide piece of wood turned into an 18" round. This spectacular drum is painted with a turtle. Turtle represents longevity, tenacity, self-reliance; he assures rainfall; he is the oldest symbol of Mother Earth and carries our prayers to her. Some Native people believe we are living on the back of a turtle. The back of the drum has a leather wrapped rawhide handle that makes using the drum very comfortable. Complete with beater, Certificate of Authenticity, and drum care instructions.
