Augustine Mowa III

Augustine Mowa III is from Shongopovi (Second Mesa) and has been actively carving since 1993. He is a descendant of the Bear Clan, an extended family of leadership, on his mother's side. His father's family includes noted medicine people. He grew up around a family of carvers, basketmakers, and jewelers. His favorite Katsina is the Hungry or Haircutter Katsina.
