This wonderful Laguna Pot Carrier is not a Katsina. This carving is a tribute to women, the pottery they create and the water they carry to the pueblo. Water is life and these women spend much of their time ensuring that their family will not have to go without. This beautiful piece shows the lightning above the pot and crushed turquoise stones indicating the rain filling the pot. The base of the sculpture shows a classic whitewashed mission. This is a great piece by a very talented man.
