This beautiful maiden with a water pot (olla) on her head is a testament to the women and their crucial task of bringing water to the home. This maiden is wrapped in a wonderful manta to ward off the early morning chill. The front of her apron shows a pueblo bird. Below her is a pot brimming with water. The base is painted with the migration symbols and the plants that come from the life-giving spring water. Jacob is a wonderful carver and this is a classic piece.
