Joe Gash

Joe Gash is from Third Mesa and has been carving since before 1979 and still does beautiful work today. He is married to Leota Gashweseoma (basketmaker). He has gotten many awards for his very clean and bright sculpture, and his favorite carvings include the Sunface, Kokopelli, Crow Mother and the Pouring Water Woman. He and Leota are always happy to be in the shop though they don't come in nearly enough.
