John Fredericks
John Fredericks (1949-- ) Kykotsmovi, AZ. Father of Thomas Fredericks, carver. John was working in Phoenix as a mechanic in the mid-1980s and his roommate was Wilmer Kaye. Each night after work John would watch Wilmer carve. John decided to give it a try and found he was a natural. John has a unique style and his carvings are very popular. John's favorite to carve is sculpture, where the wood makes the decisions and at the same time challenges the carver.
