Native American Apache Made Hohokam Style Necklace by Bear Romero

This unusual necklace was created by Apache artist Bear Romero. The Hohokam people wore this type of necklace. They were the canal-builders in what is now Arizona and some of their original canals are still in use. This unique piece has the small shells tied onto the braided waxed sinew necklace. This is a beautiful and unique piece.
