The Bear Katsina (Hon) is frequently distinguished only by color, such as white, black, brown, blue or yellow. All Bear Katsinam are believed to be very powerful and capable of curing illness. They are also considered great warriors. Bear Katsinam appear most often in the Soyohim or Mixed Dances of springtime. This is a great miniature by Ron. This wonderful classic carving was stolen from our shop. We pray that it finds its way home to us.
