The Grandmother kachina or Happy Mother is the Mother of all the Kachinas. She speaks in a high voice and is very talkative. This kachina is a protector of all, just like a grandmother protects the family. This piece was created in a style that is unusual today. Very few of the artists make the Native American dolls this way. The action is wonderful and the carving, painting and details are very accurate.
