Native American Zuni Made Inlaid Blossom Ring--Vintage

Description

1970s Native American Zuni Made Inlaid Blossom Ring by Lee and Mary Weebothee (dec)

This unusual ring is beautifully inlaid with turquoise representing the petals of the blossom and set with seven small round turquoise stones to indicate the center or pestle of the bloom. This is a classic piece by Lee and Mary Weebothee who were renowned for their cluster work. These two were master Zuni silversmiths and inlay artists from the Zuni Pueblo. They began making jewelry since the 1940s and most of their work was created with handtools. Lee did the silverwork and Mary cut the stones. We have two of these blossom rings, both the same size.
