Raymond Chee is a Navajo artist who moves between the Navajo, Hopi and white world with ease. He always carves using traditional Hopi knife-carved cottonwood root methods. He sometimes carves Hopi katsinam, he sometimes carves Navajo subject matter. He and his brother, Duwayne and his nephew, Duwayne Jr., have begun to focus more on the Navajo cultural history in their carvings and they do beautiful work. He is a wonderful artist who does excellent detail work.
