Mata Ortiz Handbuilt and Handpainted Pot by Nicolas Quezada
This wonderful gray on black pot was handbuilt and handpainted by Mata Ortiz resident Nicolas Quezada. Nicolas is Juan's brother and a major figure in the pottery of Mata Ortiz. This is a really unusual pot from a private collection. There is a small ding on the rim, which does NOT take away from the beauty of this piece. Pottery ring included.
