Mata Ortiz Handbuilt and Handpainted Pot by Mauro Quezada
This wonderful older (1990s) pot was handbuilt and handpainted by Mata Ortiz resident Mauro Quezada. Mauro is the youngest son of Concolacion who is Juan's oldest sister and a the matriarch of the Mata Ortiz pottery movement. This is pristine pot with its marbled background and unique horsehair handle is from a private collection. Pottery ring included.
