This wonderful larger seed pot with spectacular etching of butterflies was handbuilt, painted and etched by Mata Ortiz resident Oscar Ramirez. This type of pot would be used to store seeds in the winter, then in the springtime the pot would be shattered and the seeds planted. Pottery ring included.
