Mata Ortiz Handbuilt and Handpainted Seed Pot by Yoly Ledezma

This wonderful seed pot was handbuilt and handpainted by Mata Ortiz resident Yoly Ledezma. This type of pot would be used to store seeds in the winter, then in the springtime the pot would be shattered and the seeds planted. This piece has beautiful geometric painting. Pottery ring included.
