Wonderful handpainted pot with Pueblo birds on opposite sides and classic geometric black and red traditional patterns surrounding the birds. This classic piece was handpainted by Acoma potter Brenda Cerno. The inside of the pot at the rim is painted as well. Each straight line on Acoma pottery is a prayer for rain, and the birds are messengers that go to the spirits and take our prayers for the much-needed moisture.
