Description
Native American Hopi Carved Qoqooqlo Storyteller Katsina Doll by Wayne Poleahla
Qoqooqlo (Qoqole or Qooqoqlo) appears at Third Mesa during Soyal. He tells stories and prophesies good crops. He brings gifts for the children. This is a Yellow-Face Qoqooqlo, an amazing carving by Wayne. He is carrying a lightning stick, rattle and atihu to give away. The appearance of Qoqooqlo is a sign of summer and harvest. The base is finished with the bust of a Qoqooqlo and the green represents the abundance of the coming harvest.
