Native American Hopi Handbuilt and Handpainted Pot
Description
Native American Hopi Handbuilt and Handpainted Pot by Delaine Tootsie
This pot created by Delaine Tootsie, a Hopi potter who has been making pots since she was a little girl. Her hand-dug clay is multicolored and the designs go back hundreds of years in her family history. The square top on this pot is unusual for most potters. The neck of the pot has lines all the way around, one of the lines has a break in it. The solid lines are for unity, and the one with the break is to release negativity. The designs on the neck also include the three dots (Orion's Belt), a jagged arrow (lightning), and the symbol for wind. We are extremely happy to share Delaine's work with our customers.
