Native American Hopi Handbuilt and Handpainted Pot
Description
Native American Hopi Handbuilt and Handpainted Pot by Delaine Tootsie
This bowl was created by Delaine Tootsie, a Hopi potter that has been making pots since she was a little girl. Her hand-dug clay is multicolored and the designs go back hundreds of years in her family history. The rim of the bowl has a line all the way around, the line below it has a break in it. The top line is for unity, and the one with the break is to release negativity. In the center of the bottom of the bowl is a circle with a dot in it. That represents the Sipapu, it is where the Hopi emerged into this world from the last. We are extremely happy to share Delaine's work with our customers.
