This Hopi overlay cuff was created by Hopi silversmith Ernest Honanie. This .5 inch wide cuff features three turtles separated by water symbols. Turtle represents longevity, tenacity, self-reliance; he assures rainfall; he is the oldest symbol of Mother Earth and carries our prayers to her. Some Native people believe we are living on the back of a turtle. The interior dimension of the cuff is 5.5 inches with a 1 inch gap.
