Native American Navajo Made Ghost Bead Two-Strand Necklace with Jaclaw
Description
Native American Navajo Made Ghost Bead Two-Strand Necklace with Jaclaw by Patricia Patterson
This wonderful two-strand necklace has glass beads and ghost beads and is finished with a jaclaw. These were handcrafted by Navajo silversmith Patricia Patterson. The ghost beads are dried juniper berries that are usually lightly smoked and strung in a classic manner. These necklaces are thought to represent a connection between the earth, trees, animals and humans. The necklace is said to bring peace, harmony and safely to the wearer. The jaclaw at the bottom is an indicator that the wearer of this necklace is spoken for. It is a beautiful contemporary take on a traditional piece of Navajo jewelry. This piece has no clasp and pulls on over your head.
aprox. 34 in. long; strung on wire
