These older (1960-70) stamped Navajo pearls were handcrafted by Navajo master silversmith Roy Vandever (1936-2009). These Sterling silver beads are called Navajo pearls as they are quite valuable to the men and women who wear them. The more pearls, the higher the status of the individual. These are a classic Navajo jewelry item of handcrafted bench beads. It is becoming harder to find these older pieces that have stamped beads and are on their original chain. Necklace closes with a handcrafted hook and eye.
