This wonderful Laguna Pot Carrier is not a Katsina. This carving is a tribute to women, the pottery they create and the water they carry to the pueblo. Water is life and these women spend much of their time ensuring that their family will not have to go without. This beautiful piece the maiden wrapped in mantas to keep out the cold. The lightning is bringing the rain that is filling her pot which she will carry to the pueblo for the much needed water.
