Native American Made Medicine Man Headdress
Description
This Native American Navajo made medicine man headdress resembles actual ceremonial headdresses worn by Native Americans from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. The headdress has a very large complete red coyote fur pelt. The head, complete with all teeth is surrounded by an entire sheet of hide. Ther is a rope of beading around the forehead of the wearer. The body of the pelt and the hide with its fringe hangs down over 50 inches. This headdress is fully decorated with a beaded medallion at the top and bottom of a beaded leather strap. A one-of-a-kind piece from a private collection.
