Native American Navajo Made Turquoise, Glass and Ghost Bead Anklets

Description

Native American Navajo Made Turquoise, Glass and Ghost Bead Anklets by Andrea Begay

These wonderful single strands of glass beads, turquoise and ghost bead anklets were handcrafted by Navajo silversmith Andrea Begay. Ghost beads are dried juniper or cedar berries that are usually lightly smoked and strung in a classic manner; they are thought to represent a connection between the earth, trees, animals and humans. The jewelry is said to bring peace, harmony and safety to the wearer. These are very festive pieces worn as a group or individually. Lobster claw closures.
