Native American Navajo Red Clay Pot with Coyote
Description
Native American Navajo Red Clay Pot with Coyote by Arlene Bennett
This beautifully etched Navajo red clay pot has traditional symbols all around the majority of the pot and is accented with a classic coyote howling at the desert moon. The coyote represents the trickster in Native American lore. This particular coyote is howling to call the others together after a successful hunt. The shape of this piece indicates that it would have been used as storage.
