This beautiful round Navajo etched jewelry box has traditional Navajo symbols etched all around the base and in a circle on the lid of the box is a wonderful etching of a turtle that has the symbol for the four directions etched into its back. The turtle is a symbol for longevity and for water, a scarce resource in the desert southwest. It is believed by many Native Americans that we are living on the back of a turtle. Perfect for keepsakes, or that special piece of jewelry. The interior is fully glazed.
