This Teec Nos Pos pattern was created by an unknown Navajo weaver. The phrase means "circle of Cottonwoods." This is a very complex pattern that was developed by the Navajo after exposure to Persian rugs, and really shows the skill of the weaver. This weave is tight and the yarn is very thin. This is a soft and spectacular rug. I took a couple close-ups so you can see the tight work of this pristine weaving.
