The Hano Mana, just like the Grandmother (Hahay-i wu-uti), is a favorite for the first or second gift to the girls by the men of their villages. Hano Mana appears in the Bean Dance on Second Mesa and in the Water Serpent Ceremony on First Mesa. This contemporary piece is just a profile of this maiden as she looks up to the sky. Her paint is pearlized and the reflection reminds me of moonlight. She wears a beautifully carved necklace and earrings.
