Rope Wrapped Gourd Pot with Antler Handle by Robert Rivera

This VERY large older gourd piece by Robert (2004) is coated on the inside for stability and wrapped with very thin rope all around the outside. This piece has an antler handle with Mimbres designs painted on it. The handle is adored with an ancient found stone arrowhead, straight dried grasses, feathers and actual Anasazi pottery sherds. An amazing piece by a very talented artist. I photographed the gourd being held by Toby to show just how big that piece is.
