1970s Native American Zuni Handbuilt and Handpainted White Clay and White Slip Pot with Deer

This is a wonderful older pot that was handbuilt with commercial clay. The designs are vintage, and are haven't been seen in years. The deer with the heartline is classic Zuni. This is a fabulous pot, it was originally created and given as an award "The Advance Spirit Award, George Hanney RN, Capt. USPHS." We tried to find out more about George Hanney and the year he received this piece.
