Zuni Carved Three Bears Fetish by Jayne Quam

This three bears sculpture was carved from Septarian nodule with jet turquoise and offering bundle by Zuni artist Jayne Quam. The offering bundles are meant as a gift offering to the animal spirit. The bundles provide the animal spirit with energy, enhancing its powers and allowing its prayers to be heard more easily. This bundle is tied around the lead bear and the third, small, Malachite bear. Bear is the guardian of the West. Bear is associated with great strength and is considered a powerful healer. A really unique piece.
