Zuni Carved Corn Maiden Fetishwith Medicine Bear--Double by Chad Quandelacy

These beautiful Corn Maidens were carved from gold-lipped Mother-of-Pearl and accented with turquoise, coral and jet by Chad Quandelacy. One side of this carving shows a young woman with the blooming flower representing fertility. The other side shows a mature woman dressed in traditional clothing. These Corn Maidens reflect the lifetime of a woman. Down one side of these maidens is a Medicine Bear. Chad carves these bears as a tribute to his uncle and his father.
