Zuni Carved Horse Fetish by Kenric Laiwakete

Wonderful horse carved from lepidolite with turquoise eyes and spirit line by Zuni artist Kenrick Laiwakete. At the right angle, which I tried to shoot, blue and purple reflects from inside the lepidolite. Horses enabled the People to travel further, faster, and with less loss of energy so that they were able to hunt more efficiently and with greater success.
