1980s Native American Zuni Made Buckle with Sunface by Ernie Ohmsatte
Wonderful Zuni inlaid buckle with a Sunface was created using turquoise, coral, mother-of-pearl, onyx, malachite and pink mussel shell and set in Sterling silver. The Zuni Sunface (Zia) represents the spirit of the sun. This leader of ceremonies brings warmth, shelter for the old, a bright future, and playfulness for the young. Master silversmith Ernie Ohmsatte created this beautiful buckle. This buckle has a hinged bar and will take a belt up to 1.25 inches wide.
