This spectacular pot with exotic koi fish leaping out of crashing water trying to catch insects was handbuilt and handetched by Mata Ortiz resident Jose Ameraz. The dark green moss-like finish even feels like the dark sea. A simply beautiful piece of pottery from a potter who has not been doing this work very long; in fact, he is a tattoo artist and has taken his skill to pottery with great results.
