Native American Hopi Carved Esteban the Moor Warrior Katsina Sculpture by Aaron Honyumptewa

Esteban the Moor (Chaquoma or Chakwaina) is originally from the Rio Grande Pueblos. He represents Esteban who was a guide for an early Spanish expedition in search of the Seven Cities of Gold and was killed at Zuni. This is a unique carving by Aaron, he has combined real feathers and seashells to a detailed bust of Chakwaina. We hope you love this new style as much as we do.
