Native American Jemez Handbuilt Traditional Pot
Description
Native American Jemez Handbuilt Traditional Pot by Emma Yepa
This wonderful pot is a melon in the body and the top shows the kiva steps. The shape of this pot indicates it would be used as a smoke or smudge pot. Dried herbs would be lit and placed inside where they would smoulder. This is one of the first incense burners. This classic piece was created by Emma Yepa from Jemez Pueblo, NM.
