Wonderful handbuilt and handpainted traditional bowl by Hopi potter Bernadette Poleahla. This beautiful pot has a handprint on the interior. This sign was used to proclaim "we were here" by the Native People as they migrated due to weather and for food throughout the southwest. The two dark lines in the center of the handprint is the symbol for friendship. The exterior of this bowl is painted with traditional Hopi symbols. Pottery ring included.
